Thunder Ridge Vineyards
NEWS/FAQs
FAQs:
NOTE: We do NOT recommend your first visit with us or bringing larger groups on either Corvette night(The Fridays before Memorial day and Labor day) or on Mother's Day. We are sometimes short staffed on all those days and they are our busiest days as well. We are only so big, but always do our best!
Do we need reservations/large group accommodations?
We do not reserve tables unless you are renting the pavilion, we don't allow holding tables until parties arrive. If you move our tables to suit your group needs, please place them back to their original places when your visit is complete. We are on a first come first serve basis. However, if you do have a larger group during nice weather outside (8 or more & we prefer groups stay around 10-12 no more than 15 please, if you must without renting space), we must know in advance (at least a weeks notice) so we can attempt to bring on extra staff to serve you better or to make you aware we already have a larger group that day! We have become extremely busy with more people bringing larger and larger groups; we are NOT well suited for larger groups with our parking and staff, facility size etc.. Please car pool when possible always. We always suggest bringing chairs, even an easy up and tables to set up in our large grass area, as our pavilion outside fills up fast. We can not have more than 12-15 people in our inside middle overflow room at one time. No larger groups in the tasting room. If you would like to rent the pavilion for your event or group of 15-26, please contact us for more information. Thank you!
Can we bring children?
Young children being brought is not encouraged. Please note during certain winery events, children may be prohibited if under a certain age or prohibited period. Children must be accompanied by an adult when entering the winery for any reason. Children may NOT sit at the bar. Indoors, children must remain seated at all times. PLCB defines proper SUPERVISION of the parent or guardian as directly responsible for the care and conduct of the minor while on the premises, and who keeps the minor within his or her sight at all times; ideally within an arms reach physically. We do not provide activities for young children. Corn Hole and other games are for adults first priority and if used with children must be supervised and used properly. They are not playground equipment nor are they sliding boards. Our chairs are not as well. Children must stay on the licensed property at all times. Please ask us our boundaries for the licensed property if you are new to our establishment. Young children must be secured by holding hands or carried by an adult when brought inside; accompany minors to the bathroom. Please do NOT touch any grapes, vines or fruit trees. You may bring small toys to occupy children; no balls, frisbees or anything that can be thrown or kicked into vines and other patrons. We appreciate your cooperation so everyone has a nice relaxing visit to our vineyard.
Are you dog friendly?
We are ok with your dog tagging along. However, all dogs must remain outside unless it is a service dog.
All dogs must be secured/LEASHED(not a retractable leash unless you have total control of your dog) to a human, not a chair, table, pavilion pole, vine trellis pole or fruit tree trunk such as peach trees, and must be supervised at all times. All dogs must stay on the licensed property. If you don't know where the licensed property starts and stops, ASK! We have private property signs posted as well. We do need to let our dog out at closing and have run into people in our private yard with their dogs or just lingering well after we close. All dogs must be cleaned up after!!!! Please take any dog waste with you when you leave the premises or ask about proper disposal. Please bring your dog its own bowl for water. We do not supply dog bowls. Thank you in advance.
Smoking? We prefer to be a non smoking/vaping facility, however if you need to smoke, please ask us where you can do so without bothering other patrons. Please do not smoke near our entrance. We kindly ask that you NOT throw cigarette butts anywhere on the property, not even the parking area or spit out any tobacco pouches on the property. This is not just our business, but our home. There are bottles out for disposal in the area we will allow smoking if need be. Smoking area is to the left rear corner of the winery building. Thank you in advance.
Is outside food allowed?
YES! Yes! Yes! We encourage outside food as we are first and foremost a winery. Don't forget your napkins! Our wines come first. Our small food menu is a bonus. And when we have overly busy days, we may run out. You may bring your own water or you can purchase water bottles from us. We do supply tap water in glass bottles indoors for tastings. We prefer not to send out glass bottles outdoors with water. TYIA.
Do you have ice or containers to keep bottles of wine cold?
NO. We do not at this time have the space for extra ice or buckets. Please feel free to bring along ice, ice packs, coolers etc... to keep your wine cold outside. We can supply a small cup of ice here and there. Coolers brought in are subject to inspection for outside alcohol. ABSOLUTELY NO outside alcohol is allowed brought onto the property. Thank you!
